Jon Goulder

Jon Goulder grew up surrounded by furniture, both in his family factory and at home. In 1992 he completed an apprenticeship in upholstery and furniture making to become a fourth generation craftsman. He holds a Diploma of Art, Craft and Design from Canberra School of Art. His work has featured in many major exhibitions, including 'Sydney Style', Object, Sydney (2004), and 'Freestyle: New Australian Design for Living', Object, Sydney and Melbourne Museum (2007).  He was the inaugural winner of the Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award (2003) and winner of the Hobart Art Prize (2004). His work is held in public collections, such as at the Powerhouse Museum.
